Cancer Research UK – Race for Life

A great day up on Plymouth Hoe today, thousands of people both sponsoring and running to raise money for Cancer Research UK who have around 200 5k events across the UK, there’s bound to be an event near you.   They also have lots of resources, tips and plans to help you make the most of your Race for Life 5k.  If you are interested in supporting them please click on the link here:

The hoe in pink

The weather was great and the Hoe was covered in the pink clad Race for Life competitors.  Congratulations to my Practice Manager Debbie McGowan  and her good friend and Peverell Chiropractic Clinic patient Louise Durdnell, Louise’s mum unfortunately passed away with cancer recently and it was great to see both Debbie and Louise helping to support cancer research, these ladies completing the course in a blistering time.

Debbie said her training had really taken off when she cut down to low tar cigarettes and only drank a few bottles of wine a week,  joking aside Debbie’s really been training hard….she has stopped smoking a few months ago, hardly drinks at all and runs nearly every day.

One little fellow who also completed the course a little sausage doggie looking splendid in pink.

All in all a great day on Plymouth Hoe well done Cancer Research UK
